Environics Gas Mixers, Dilutors and Dividers have been the used in laboratories for over twenty years for applications including gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), GC with Flame Ionization Detector (GC-FID), and GC with thermal conductivity detector (GC-TCD).

Our systems can produce gas concentrations from percent to ppb levels at the required flow rates for single or multi-point calibration.  In all cases, Environics mixers allow you to use less expensive single-gas cylinders or bulk tanks in place of a high number of expensive blended cylinders.

Our Zero Air Generators (ZAG) are capable of continuous delivery of up to 20 standard liters per minute (SLPM), 30 pounds per square inch (PSI) of dry, contaminant-free air.  We offer two ZAG options. First is a powerful stand-alone unit, so there is no need for you to worry about an external compressed air supply.  If you have a dry compressed air course, we offer a pump-less option as well. The air is a perfect method for generating zero reference calibration gas, ultra-pure combustion air for flame ionization detector, service air for pneumatically operated valves, hydrocarbon free chromatography use and general laboratory use. Many laboratories purchase expensive high pressure Zero Air cylinders. While this method works, it is safer, more cost effective and more repeatable to use an in house generator. Your investment will quickly pay for itself.

Flexibility:  Environics’ systems automatically blend and dilute gases to generate precise gas mixes.  The Series 4040 can be used to dynamically produce parts per billion level standards from parts per million level cylinder gases and is operated through any laboratory computer.  Each component concentration can be independently varied in response to your commands.  Customization of our systems is always possible.

Accuracy: Our gas mixing technology is based on very precise control of thermal mass flow controllers. Normally, thermal mass flow controllers offer an accuracy +/- 1% of full-scale flow. However, when combined with Environics computerization and calibration, this accuracy specification is improved to +/- 1% of setpoint. The Full-scale error vs. Setpoint error document shows the 10x improvement in accuracy of a thermal mass flow controller when using Environics controlling technology.

Repeatability:  Our systems have a repeatability of +/-0.05% of full scale.

Oxygen Clean:  We offer systems cleaned for oxygen service, and highly recommend cleaning of all components for systems that will be subjected to oxygen levels above 25%.
