Equilibrium Modified Atmosphere Packaging
More food packaging companies are turning to Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) and Equilibrium MAP (EMAP) to extend shelf life and maintain product appearance. At Environics, we understand how critical consistent and accurate gas mixtures are to ensuring the quality of your final product.
Our Series 3000 Gas Mixing and Delivery system provides for precise mixing of MAP gases for your case ready meat packaging. Whether you are reducing the oxygen levels with nitrogen, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide or a variety of gases, the high accuracy and consistency of our mixers makes them the units of choice for all of your needs.

Flexibility: Environics’ Series 3000 Gas Delivery and Blending System offers fully automated, on-site blending of pure bulk gases—eliminating the need for costly premixed cylinders. The system is typically configured for two- or three-gas blends, but has the ability to expand to more complex mixtures as needed. Whether you're using a single blend or multiple formulations, each component concentration can be independently controlled and adjusted in real time.
This flexibility allows for seamless adaptation to various Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) and Equilibrium MAP (EMAP) applications, including case-ready meat packaging, ensuring your specific gas requirements are consistently met.
Consistency: Our systems offer exceptional repeatability, ensuring reliable, repeatable performance with every blend.
Accuracy and consistency are both dependent on total flow rate, making proper system configuration essential.
Cost Savings: By blending pure gases on-site, you can significantly reduce the cost of purchasing and storing expensive premixed cylinders. Many users see the system pay for itself in a short period through reduced gas costs alone.
Gas Conservation: The Series 3000 can maintain a positive pressure to support downstream processes and may be configured to fill a ballast tank. The system activates only as needed, based on pressure levels—ideal for applications where gas demand is intermittent, helping reduce overall gas consumption.

Optional Alarms: Optional visual and/or audible alarms can be added to alert operators of fault conditions, such as gas concentrations falling outside user-defined tolerances. These features are especially recommended when using hazardous gases like carbon monoxide. The example image above shows a system with a visual alarm installed.
Alarms can also be sent via email—keeping you informed even when you're off-site. Please note, this requires a static IP address for the email server.
